Guides communities through a series of strategic questions to: (a) identify their priority environmental needs, (b) explore and choose appropriate biodiversity finance mechanisms (e.g. grants, credits, payment for ecosystem services), (c) build strategic partnerships, and (d) design effective conservation projects – essentially it’s a step-by-step roadmap for a community to evaluate if a biodiversity credit project is suitable for them or if other financing fits better, and how to formulate projects on their own terms. Developed in Spanish with an intuitive “decision tree” format (including diagrams). It is intended to be user-friendly for workshops or self-study.
