Nat5

Nat5 has developed a biodiversity crediting framework that uses its parent company Ases’ On-Chain Protocol. The Biodiversity Credits methodology applies to forest management, regenerative agriculture, urban forest and water flow restoration projects. Each credit issued represents a 100m2 unit that has been restored or preserved by the project.

Credits are calculated based on a number of variables, primarily preserved area, restored area, and ecological conditions of the intervened area.

Nat5 has also developed a methodology for projects focussed on species conservation through the following activities: adaption of ecosystems to climate change, spacial connectivity, human-wildlife conflict, conservation of species, control of invasive species, sustainable development, protected area management, sustainable management, protection of migratory species and impact reduction. Credits are calculated over 100m2 using five main variables, including habitat quality, home range, Shannon Index, landscape fragmentation index and target species monitoring.

Nat5 has also developed methodologies for Water Credits and Soil Credits.
