The Bioestrela project addresses the triple challenge of climate change, monocultures and land abandonment in Portugal’s Serra da Estrela. Through Regeneration Hubs, it connects landowners and communities to restore soil, enhance biodiversity and create natural firebreaks on a landscape scale. By fostering regenerative practices, it boosts ecosystem resilience and offers sustainable livelihoods in the country’s largest natural park.
