Bugoma-Budongo Wildlife Corridor

The Bugoma-Budongo Forest Corridor is a key biodiversity hotspot. Despite the area facing fragmentation, it is home to the endangered Eastern Chimpanzees and various endemic species. This community-led restoration project is working to reconnect this wildlife corridor, which covers 12,500ha of tropical rainforest. Benefits include; enhanced community rights, strengthened land tenure and forest governance, sustainable livelihoods opportunities, and improved ecological integrity and climate resilience.
