Cassowary Credits are biodiversity credits that value and reward the restoration and protection of tropical rainforest habitat in Australia’s Wet Tropics region. Credits are based on quantified improvements in rainforest biodiversity, in one of the most biologically diverse and irreplaceable regions in the world.
The Cassowary Credit Standard and the associated Rainforest Replanting Methodology have been approved for independent administration by Eco-Markets Australia. Beta phase projects are established and credits will be available as benefits to rainforest biodiversity are measured and demonstrated.
